About the Disaster Animal Response Team of Nova Scotia

We are a registered charity, working in partnership with the Canadian Red Cross, to set up and run temporary emergency shelters and reception centers for animals affected by man-made and natural disasters.

We partner and work with other like-minded organizations to ensure animal needs are being met during emergencies. Upon request, we may work in animal seizure shelters under the direction of the local responding animal shelter's Incident Commander.
