Dog Handling 101
The objective of this workshop is to apply what is learned from Dog Behavior 101 and practice transferring dogs to and from the kennel. Pre-requisite is our Dog Behavior 101.
Reptile Handling 101
As part of mandate and mission, we do accept reptiles in our shelters. This course teaches our volunteers the following:
introduction to reptiles
proper handling techniques
general care and special needs
basic first aid for reptiles
Intake and Shelter Set Up
As volunteers, we want to be prepared for every possible scenario that may arise and training helps us prepare for that. This exercise helps create checklists to increase our efficiency when doing intake and setting up a shelter during an event or emergency.
