About Me
After deploying to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, where I worked with HSUS later with ARNO, I returned to Ontario determined to carry on animal rescue work locally. With three fellow Torontonian's whom I met during my Katrina deployments, we established Dog Speed Animal Rescue & Transport, a non-profit incorporation and have applied for our charitable status. I have continued animal rescue work ever since (see our webpage www.dogspeed.org). We keep busy with our rescue work, as well as deployments and obtaining various animal handling and rescue training certification.
Unfortunately, I still have to do a "day job" that is not animal related. Making beer is nowhere near as important as working with animals in need, but being on the Molson ERT, I do get the opportunity to maintain a number of certifications which come in handy in my animal rescue life!
At home, I have four dogs, all rescues, Finnegan (a "doberman-pointer") and Maggie (beagle/rottweiler) and two current fosters, Fiona (a border collie/shep) and Sabby (a staffy mix). Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. Please try again. 0 Comments |
